Hello there! I'm Ashley Kunz and I live in Moorhead, MN with my husband, daughter and our cat, Pixie.

Art in all forms has always inspired me, however, I didn’t pick up a brush until 2012. I am largely self-taught through experimenting, reading and watching videos online. I currently spend most of my days (and nights!) in my basement studio which I lovingly named after my daughter Autumn, who was born in December. (Autumn in December)

There have been many things throughout my career that have impacted my growth and confidence in my work but the biggest moment that gave me validation as an artist was when I was selected to be a Diamond Artist for global acrylic paint brand Liquitex in 2015. Since then I have received 3 grants, two from Lakes Region Arts Council and the other from The Arts Partnership and 2 Artist in Residencies (TMI Hospitality, Fargo, ND and West Acres Mall, Fargo, ND). I was also honored to receive the 1st place ribbon in the Professional Artist Category at the Hawley Art Show in 2017.

I have exhibited my work most recently in my temporary studio at West Acres Mall, the Plains Art Museum, and Revland Gallery.
